Scholarship
Würth Elektronik offers sophisticated electronic components for a multitude of applications in all industrial sectors. With Würth Elektronik, customers realize electronic visions – we’re on board from start to finish. The passive division includes inductors, ferrites, chokes, LEDs, capacitors, crystals, resistors, transformers and wireless charging coils. Board-to-Board, Wire-to-Board, Terminal Blocks, and Input/Output connectors are included in the electromechanical division.
The headquarters of Würth Elektronik in the Americas resides in Watertown, SD and houses design engineering, a research & development lab, a warehouse, supply chain management, inside sales representatives, growth & retention, accounting, marketing & communications, finance, IT, human resources, and management.
Würth Elektronik will award a scholarship in the amount of $2500 to a student entering the first year of post-secondary schooling, pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a university in South Dakota. Additionally, a $1500 scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing an associate’s degree at a technical college in South Dakota.
Criteria for Eligibility
- Acceptance to and intent to attend a South Dakota accredited school
- A cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Leadership and service displayed in the community
- An essay which answers the question, “What does South Dakota mean to you?”
Applications should be submitted to Würth Elektronik by March 1, 2021.
